Dylan Shelton

Dylan Shelton is a creator of puppet theatre and serves as the Artistic Director of Madcap Puppets. In this role, Dylan writes and directs original puppet performances and adaptations of great literature that tour across the country and internationally.

Mel Hatch Douglas

Mel considers herself fortunate to have been mentored by Madcap founder Jerry Handorf. She acts and directs for Madcap as the Associate Artistic Director, and tours the Midwest as Madcap’s “Artist-In-Residence”.

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Chris Douglas

Chris’ passion for mechanical and building began in his father’s workshop as a young boy. There he learned from his dad and his grandfather the basics of construction, auto mechanics, wood, metal working, as well as how to use and maintain tools and a workshop.

BOOKING AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Sean P. Mette

Sean graduated from Capital University with degrees in Theatre and Music. Since joining Madcap Puppets in 2005, Sean has performed in over 20 different productions such as: Monkey See, Monkey Do, Aesop’s Classic Fables, Look Out Galileo and Twain’s Twisted Tales.

Rachel Kimberlin

Rachel is a Virginia native who got her B.A. in Theatre Performance at James Madison University! She would like to thank her parents and the wonderful teachers in her life for their love and support. Rachel is completely thrilled to be a part of the Madcap team!

Rachel Bailey

Rachel is thrilled to join Madcap Productions this season! She is a Washington, D.C. native. For the last year she has been on the road touring in the Midwest and New England with The National Theatre for Children and Hampstead Stage Company. She has a BFA in Acting from Towson University (Baltimore, Maryland) where she was also introduced to the magic of puppet design and performance. She is grateful to her family and friends for always supporting and loving her through the ups and downs.

Clare Clauson

Claire Clauson is so excited to be joining the gang at Madcap Puppets! As a native Minnesotan, Claire graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a BFA in Musical Theatre. This is her first job as a puppeteer, but her passion for puppets began when her mom helped her make a chimpanzee puppet in the second grade. Since graduation, Claire has enjoyed working at regional theatres around the country. Some of her favorite credits include Junie B. Jones the Musical (Junie B.), Oklahoma! (Ado Annie), and Escape to Wonderland (Cheshire Cat).

Michael Antico

Michael is absolutely tickled to be returning to MadCap Puppets after a 5-year hiatus! A Christmas Carol is one of his favorite stories and he is thrilled to bring this classic to life! He previously collaborated with MadCap on Aladdin (’14) and Twain’s Twisted Tales (’15). A Massachusetts native, Michael is a veteran stage actor having recently been in Newsies (Mr. Weisel) and Born Yesterday (Eddie Brock). Last year, he spent several months in Sugarcreek, Ohio starring in Blue Gate Musicals’ Stolen! (Foster Bates). In his spare time, Michael loves to read, stargaze, and root for his favorite sports teams.
